With the development of the times, English plays an increasingly important role in the communication among different countries. English teaching highlights its importance. In the process of primary school English teaching, the picture book teaching is a kind of story teaching mode that has various plot contents and can promote the formation of students’ emotional thinking and the improvement of reading ability. This article explores the problems in the teaching of reading English pictures and puts forward the corresponding strategies to effectively improve the reading ability of English students. 1.
