在全省保持共产党员先进性教育活动深入开展之际,我们集中编发了一组关于保持共产党员先进性的文稿。这组文稿都是出自我省现今还属贫困县的党员领导干部之手。他们在文稿中结合实际,谈认识,谈使命,更谈保持共产党员先进性教育活动在全党开展的必要性和重要性,谈如何真心实意实践“三个代表”重要思想,坚持立党为公、执政为民,带领群众快速发展经济,尽快脱贫致富达小康。在他们看来,通过党员领导干部的开拓创新和不断加强提高执政能力,不断加快全面建设小康社会的进程,让贫困地区的人民群众早日过上富裕幸福的日子,这既是在贫困和经济欠发达地区或县份任职的党员领导干部的责任,也是处于新时代的各级党组织和广大共产党员尤其是党员领导干部保持共产党员先进性的具体体现。据2004年初的资料显示,我省还有国家级扶贫重点县35个,省定贫困县和插花县17个,还有182万人口未解决温饱问题,还有225万人口仅仅是初步解决温饱问题。这些数字再清楚不过地表明,在我省某些地区或县份带领群众脱贫致富奔小康的道路上,摆在广大党员领导干部面前的任务依然光荣而艰巨。我们编发这一组文稿,也意在使身处基层工作的党员领导干部能获得启示和激励,能始终如一地践行“三个代表”重要思想,以带领群众全面建设小康社会的实际?
