Objective: To investigate the expression and clinical significance of CXCR4 and EMT related factors in ovarian cancer. Methods: The expressions of CXCR4, Snail, E-cadherin and Vimentin in epithelial ovarian cancer (EOC) and benign ovarian tumor tissues were detected by immunohistochemical SP method and their clinical significance was analyzed. Results: The positive rate of CXCR4 in EOC tissues was significantly higher than that in benign ovarian tumors (P <0.05). CXCR4 was associated with TNM stage, histological grade and lymph node metastasis (P <0.05), but not with age (P> 0.05). There was a significant correlation between the expression of CXCR4 and Snail, Vimentin and E-cadherin (P <0.05). Conclusion: CXCR4 plays an important role in the occurrence, differentiation and metastasis of ovarian cancer. CXCR4 may induce EMT in ovarian cancer and block the expression of CXCR4 and reduce the risk of the disease.
