狭义地讲,线性集成电路是指输出对于输入信号的变化成线性关系的电路。广义地讲,线性集成电路既包括输出对于输入信号的变化成线性关系的电路,又包括输出对于输入信号的变化不成线性关系的电路。实质上,广义的线性电路就是指除数字电路以外的模拟电路。本文将从广义的角度来说明国外线性电路的一些应用情况。此外,从运用频率来说,用于微波波段的模拟电路,无论从制作工艺、结构和性能上都别具特点,自成一支,被称为微波集成电路,如各种微波放大器、混频器、振荡器等,故本文中也包括了少量微波集成电路的应用。
