今年5月20日到30日,我与中远集团劳务公司的郭运海副总经理前往美国,拜访了几家船公司,虽然只有短短的10天,但所见所闻,感受颇多,受益匪浅。 感受之一:美国船公司不养船员 所走几家船公司,基本上都不养船员,只有个别公司有为数不多的船长和轮机长。那么,船员从哪里来昵?船员从船员代理公司雇用。船东需要船员,就请代理公司提供,经过考核审查之后,聘用。如果代理公司提供的船员素质较高,船东将长期从这家公司雇用船员,否则,另找代理公司。选择范围是整个世界,无论哪个国家,只要素质高,价格合理,就雇用。 不养船员,对船东的好处不只是节省了一定的费用,而且免去了培训教育、休假待遇、家属连带福利等,特别是取消了船员铁饭
