In hydrogeological exploration, stopping water is a very important task when stratified pumping is required. Without a reliable method of stopping water, neither the amount of water nor the quality of the water will give correct results. Regarding the problem of water stoppage of soybeans, we conducted several experimental and analytical studies in accordance with the method introduced by Comrade Zhang Zhiping on the 10th issue of the Journal of Hydrogeology and Engineering Geology in 1957. It was found that pure soy bean particles could not completely stop the water, and at the same time, a method of using dry soy flour mixed with dry clay powder to stop water was found.
