土体宏观物理力学性质的变化根本上在于土体结构性的变化。为此,本文通过扫描电镜试验,分析了高液限土的微观结构特性,并在湿法与干法2种制件条件下,进行了高液限土的液塑限、击实和CBR试验,探讨了高液限土物理力学性质的微观机理。结果表明:高液限土粘粒含量高、孔隙比大,其物理力学性质与微观结构密切相关;高液限土含有一些具“固体”性质的结合水,使得高液限土虽具有较高的含水率和持水能力,其力学性能却较好。
