本文讨论命名的一般性问题,确定语音学术语的三项主要原则,即构建概念系统所需达到的三个“性”:一致性、充分性和必要性。然后评估了传统的辅音调音部位和方式、非肺部辅音和个别发声态的名称,并建议了新名称。
This article discusses the general issues of naming and identifies the three main principles of phonetic terminology, the three “sexes” needed to construct a conceptual system: consistency, adequacy, and necessity. The traditional consonant tuning positions and modalities, non-pulmonary consonants and individual vocalizations were then evaluated and new names proposed.
