西安半坡博物馆是在半坡遗址考古发掘基础上建立的。这座博物馆的建立,使经过考古发掘清理出的位于原地的各种遗迹得到原状保存和展示,各种出土文物和建筑遗迹标本也得到有效收藏、保护和展示。西安半坡博物馆以保存、展示史前聚落遗迹及从中出土的各种遗物为特色,于1958年对外开放,向社会公众展示距今6000多年前的史前社会情景。
Xi’an Banpo Museum is built on the basis of the Banpo site archaeological excavations. The museum was set up to preserve and display the remains of monuments that have been cleared through archeological excavations in their original place. Specimens of various types of unearthed relics and architectural relics have also been effectively preserved, protected and displayed. Xi’an Banpo Museum preserves and displays the remains of prehistoric settlements and various artifacts unearthed from it. It was opened to the public in 1958 to show the public the prehistoric social scene dating back more than 6,000 years ago.
