在群星璀灿的化纤行业,有一颗晶莹夺目的新星,那就是盐城化纤厂。1987年以前,这个厂名不见经传,纺织部里没户头,省里没位置,而现在却是省级先进企业,先后荣获部里奖励十多个,在这里召开过全国性的现场会; 1987年前,这是一个只有几百万元固定资产的小厂,而现在拥有固定资产1.2亿元;产品由单一品种发展到四大系列10个品种30多种规格。1991年全国“七五”新品展评中共有21个产品获得一等奖,而化纤厂一举夺得6个; 1987年以前,这个厂还是盐城的“包袱”,而现在利税跃居全市第二位;万元产值综合能耗居于全国同行业第八位,综合经济指标名列全国第九。这一切,就发生在这短短的几年时间。这一切,就发生在化纤厂走向市场之后。
