Wedge tail, English Wedgetail, it originally refers to an Australian native to grow an eagle, up to 2.5 meters long wings, is the world’s largest eagle. Wedge-tail Hawk has extremely keen vision, can fly far away to find prey, but also can circling at high altitude for a long time to protect its territory invulnerable. For these reasons, the Australian Defense Force named its “Air Force 5077 Project” its “wedge-tail project” for the development of early warning and control aircraft. The objective of the project is to obtain early warning and control capabilities in the air and enhance the ability of the Australian Defense Forces to monitor the vast area north of Australia while enhancing Australia’s ability to support its allies (mainly the United States) in their military intervention abroad.
