当初始行动进展不顺时,是立即停止行动撤出资源,还是继续努力并投入更多资源以期弥补损失?承诺升级即指当面临失败的结果时,决策者仍然向先前的行动持续投入资源的现象。为了探讨监督、面子需要对职业经理人承诺升级的影响,研究以自我申辩理论、代理理论和面子的相关理论为基础,选取了159人进行准实验研究。研究结果发现面子需要和监督对承诺升级的正向作用显著,且两者存在交互效应,面子需要及关系性面子需要对监督与承诺升级的正向关系有加强的作用,基于得出的结论,作者提出了减少承诺升级行为的相应措施。
When the initial move does not go smoothly, immediately stop the action to withdraw resources, or continue to work hard and invest more resources to make up for the loss? Commitment to upgrade means that when faced with the failure of the outcome, the policy makers are still continuing to invest in previous actions phenomenon. In order to explore the supervision, the face needs to upgrade the commitment of professional managers. Based on self-defense theory, agency theory and face-related theory, 159 people are selected for quasi-experimental research. The findings show that face-to-face need and oversight have a significant positive effect on escalation of commitment, and there is an interaction between the two. The face-to-face and face-to- face needs to strengthen the positive relationship between oversight and commitment escalation. Based on the conclusions drawn, The author put forward corresponding measures to reduce promised escalation behavior.
