为探讨硫酸镁对急性脑梗死的治疗作用，我们将64例急性脑梗死患者在综合治疗基础上加用25％硫酸镁针剂，并与同期内40例行综合治疗患者对照，结果治疗组神经功能损伤恢复程度高，时间短，总有效率95．3％，较对照组好，差异极显著（P＜0．01）。表明治疗急性脑梗死时补充镁离子是必要的。
