梅里雪山是云南最壮观的雪山山群,数百里兀立绵延的雪岭雪峰。占去德钦县34.5%的面积。海拔6000米以上的太子十三峰,各显其姿,又紧紧相连。主峰卡瓦格博峰海拔6740米。是云南最高的山峰,位居藏区八大神山之首。藏文经典中称其为“绒赞卡瓦格博”.汉语意为“河谷地带险峻雄伟的白雪山峰”。在藏传佛教里,卡瓦格博赞神传说是噶举派的保护神。
Meili Snow Mountain is the most spectacular snow mountain in Yunnan Province, hundreds of miles of snow ridge Xueling stretches. Accounting for 34.5% of Deqin County area.
