This article discusses several extracurricular assistance strategies that serve classroom teaching. The characteristics and effects of extracurricular supplementary strategies are described from the following five aspects: the application of English idioms, the teaching of English songs, the viewing of original English movies, extracurricular reading and English extracurricular activities.
