In order to promote technological progress in the grain industry, adapt to the new market demands of grain-price-adjusted markets and consumers, and reduce post-harvest loss, develop “invisible grain fields”, we cooperate with the State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs and the Ministry of Science and Technology to approve the project No. 91065004 Dr. HJ Banks, the director of Institute of Foodstuffs Reserves, Department of Entomology, Australian Federal Institute of Science and Technology and chairman of the International Commission on Grain Fumigation and Pneumocontrol Storage, was invited to conduct academic exchanges and discussions in China from April 11 to April 24. When the experts arrived in Beijing, Wu Jing, the deputy director of the Grain Storage and Transportation Bureau of the Ministry of Commerce, met with experts and his wife and presided over the working talks. During his stay in China, experts conducted discussions on the status quo and development prospects of grain storage technology in Beijing and Chengdu in succession and achieved good results.
