良好的国家形象需要成功的外事翻译。外事翻译独有的特点又决定了传统翻译理论在应对外事翻译时的不足。功能翻译理论认为,翻译策略的选择取决于译本的目的。本文旨在从功能翻译角度论述外事翻译的可行性,以期为外事翻译做些贡献。
A good national image requires a successful foreign affairs translator. The unique features of foreign affairs translation also determine the traditional translation theory in dealing with foreign language translation deficiencies. Functional translation theory holds that the choice of translation strategy depends on the purpose of the translation. The purpose of this paper is to discuss the feasibility of foreign affairs translation from the perspective of functional translation, with a view to contributing to foreign affairs translation.
