The authors report the results of serum-free culture of Plasmodium falciparum FCQ-27K_1 and D_6 using commercially available N-SR and ALbM serum-free media mixed with alternative serum at various ratios. Plasmodium falciparum strains are provided by the Army Malaria Research Institute. Refer to Trager and Jensen (1976) for the culture method
