On October 29, 2009, “The Conference on the Top 100 Classic and Excellent Projects of the 60th Anniversary of the Founding of the People’s Republic of China” and the Awards Ceremony were held ceremoniously in the Great Hall of the People. During the ceremony, 100 projects representing the achievements of new China were commended . Among the winning projects are the Tiananmen Square complex and the National Grand Theater
