博罗县园洲中学创建于1960年,占地面积约13.33万平方米,建筑面积近6万平方米,是一所实行封闭式管理的公办初级中学,先后被评为惠州市一级学校、全国教育科研先进单位、惠州市书香校园、惠州市体育传统项目(篮球)学校、博罗县名校。学校现有教学班50个,学生2638人。专任教师170人,其中本科以上学历教师占99%,研究生学历教师3人;高级教师15人,中级教师132人;广东省骨干教师5人,惠州市名教师7人,博罗县名教师5人。园洲中学积极探索科学的发展道路,确立了“以人为本,和谐发展”的办学理
