美国是世界上,医药广告市场最发达的国家,联邦法律允许药品公司为任何处方药做广告,即使是那些会导致身体严重损害、上瘾的药品也不例外。但美国政府管理广告的主要机构联邦贸易委员会(FTC)和食品药物管理局(FDA),对医药广告的监管极其严格。《联邦食品、药品和化妆品法》对医药广告有特别规定,要求处方药广告必须准确、不能误导消费者。不得使用“安全可靠”、“毫无危险”、“无副作用”
The United States is the world’s most developed country in the pharmaceutical advertising market. Federal laws allow pharmaceutical companies to advertise any prescription drug, even drugs that are highly addictive and cause serious bodily harm. However, the U.S. government’s main agency that manages advertising, the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), has extremely strict regulations on pharmaceutical advertisements. The Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act has special provisions for medical advertisements, requiring prescription drug advertisements to be accurate and not misleading to consumers.
