Some people say that laughter(笑声) is the best medicine. Scientists are beginning to agree with this. They are studying laughter carefully and have found out it is really good for us.
So what will happen when we laugh? We use 15 different parts in our face when we laugh, and laugh is good for every other part in our body. When we laugh, we take in air quickly and the face, back, and other parts will move. The body gets better in this way. Our hearts beat more slowly and our head works better. Laugh can also kill the pain in our body.
One minute’s laugh is the same as 45 minutes’ rest of the body. Many doctors around the world believe that laughing helps us get better when we are ill.
Of course, there are many kinds of laughter. We may change the way we laugh in different places. But we all laugh in our own way. How do you usually laugh?
1. Laughter is good to us because ____.
A. scientists think so B. everybody thinks so
C. the study tells us so D. doctors say so
2. When we laugh, we exercise ____.
A. fifteen parts of the face B. fifteen parts of the back
C. every part of our body D. fifteen parts of the body
3. Laughter can kill the pain in our ____.
A. school B. heart C. body D. back

The Two Drunkards
