Pop culture regularly paints aliens as forces of evil， who want to kill every living soul on the planet and steal every resource we have. But there is a science fiction—where aliens are actually innocents[天真无邪的人] who are captured[俘获]， tortured[折磨] and killed by the large， mysterious government organizations. The new animated family film Escape From Planet Earth falls into the latter[后者的] category[种类].
Escape From Planet Earth follows the adventures of Scorch Supernova[超新星]， an alien from the planet Baab who is considered to be a hero by his brother Gary. When an SOS call goes out from a well-known dangerous planet—Earth， Scorch ignores all warnings and goes for the rescue. However， the SOS call was actually a trap set by the government at Area 51 who takes the alien hostage[人质]. With no choice left， it’s up to Gary to rescue his brother.

The most beloved hero of Planet Baab， Scorch is the greatest member of the BASA program. Doing good and fighting evil across the galaxy[银河]， Scorch still makes time to kiss babies whilst[同时] posing for photos. Though protected by his brother Gary’s brilliant planning， Scorch considers himself to be a team of one.
Gary Supernova
A world-class genius， Gary is one of the most intelligent aliens in the galaxy and beyond. He is a rocket scientist， an engineer， and a mission controller at BASA. But when Scorch needs rescuing from the Dark Planet， Gary reached deep inside to find the bravery and strength that no one knew he had.
General Shanker
The stern[严厉的] mastermind behind Area 51， Shanker is a military[军事的] leader who gets peeved[恼怒的] about aliens. A dark secret in his past haunts[萦绕心头] him every day as he carries out his ruthless plan to steal alien technologies and exact[强求，急需] his revenge[复仇].
Doc， Io and Thurman
Though they look like a talking mouse， a giant cyclops注， and a three-eyed slug[鼻涕虫]， Doc， Io and Thurman are three of the most brilliant alien engineers stuck on Planet Earth. Naively[天真地] believing that Shanker will some day let them leave Area 51， these three toil[苦干] away， inventing， designing， and building new technology for their human master.
