This article describes the changes in oil wettability and relative permeability of Prudhoe Bay. Our measurement is consistent with the new theory on the relationship between water saturation, pH, wettability and relative permeability. In particular, it is pointed out that the wettability of a reservoir gradually changes from the low water temperature of the rock formation near the water-oil interface to the top wet mixing state. Increasing the oil wet-through feature will inevitably reduce water saturation. Changes in wettability are also accompanied by changes in water injection production rate, and reach the best when the Amott index approaches zero. Lithology is also a factor that affects oil recovery. Clay-rich rocks have high residual oil saturation.
