Zach: Uh oh! Here comes the dreaded check...
Kayla: Why is it dreaded? Please don’t tell me you’re one of those 1)cheapskates, who “accidentally” forgets his wallet at the most 2)inopportune time.
Zach: Ummm...No. But this uncomfortable moment of figuring out who pays is exactly what I was dreading.
Kayla: Most gentlemen, who have had the sincere pleasure of dining with me, offer to pay on the first date.
Zach: I know, but that’s just it. If I pay, that makes it an official date. What if I’m still not sure if I want it to be a real date?
Kayla: You mean you don’t like me?
Zach: That’s not at all what I mean. I just think we get along really well as friends. And we’ve been out together as part of a group, with lots of other friends, more times than I can count.
Kayla: Ah, ①I see where you’re coming from. And I care about our friendship, too. But I still feel like there’s something...more than that...
Zach: Really? You still feel that way, even though I was such a 3)weirdo tonight?
Kayla: What do you mean? You’re a weirdo every night! It’s one of the reasons we get along so well.
Zach: Haha, very funny. But do you really think we have a future together?
Kayla: ②Beats me. But, I think we’ve got as good a chance as anyone. Especially since we already know each others deepest, darkest secrets. Or, at least, I think we do...
Zach: And I told you,③if you ever spill the beans about me wetting the bed at 4)summer camp, I’ll let everyone know about your hot and 5)steamy Justin Bieber dreams.
Kayla: OK, OK. Not so loud.
Zach: Oh yeah, sorry. ④I know those “Beliebers” are lurking right around the corner.
Kayla: That’s not funny. Those 6)fanatics mean business.
Zach: Sure they do, Mrs. Bieber...
  Kayla: I don’t want Bieber, I want y—
Zach: It’s alright, you can say it.
Kayla: No, I can’t. Because you aren’t sure if you want me or not. Which makes me even more unsure.
Zach: I’ve just been burned so many times by girls. And you know first hand, because you were always the one I’d go to for support. So tell me, what am I supposed to do if you break my heart? Who can I turn to then?
Kayla: How about this? ⑤We go slow, OK? No obligation. Just two friends, hanging out and splitting the bill. ⑥Sound like a plan?
Zach: Sounds good. Let’s split it!
