棉红铃虫是本省棉花中、后期的主要害虫。在开展红铃虫发生量预报、制定全省棉虫综防决策时,如何正确估计该虫的为害损失程度,确定合理的棉花受害虫口允许密度,提高测报和防治经济效益,是我省当前急待解决的问题。为此,自1982年3月起,我们按照农牧渔业部农作物病虫测报站的要求,在省测报站主持下,组织荆州地区和枝江、广济、当阳县等四个植保站,进行了棉红铃虫危害损失测定及防治指标研究.
