全日制义务教育《数学课程标准(实验稿)》中指出:“学生的数学学习应当是现实的、有意义的、富有挑战性的……。内容的呈现应采用不同的表达方式,以满足多样化的学习需求。”传统的应用题大多采用“纯文字”的表达方式,脱离学生生活实际、条件不多不少、解法结论单一的题目比比皆是,学生学得枯燥无味,没有兴趣,这些现象是与数学课程的新理念相违背的。因此应用题的呈现方式应推陈出新,内容应注意联系学生生活实际,以新颖、灵活、丰富多彩的开放形式,作为应用题教学的载体,这样才能“使学生获得对数学理解的同时,在思维能力、情感态度与价值观等多方面得到进步和发展。”
