In the world, spiral concentrator has been successfully used in the production of glass sand. Compared with other technologies for removing iron-bearing minerals and refractory heavy minerals, such as flotation and magnetic separation, spiral concentrators have the advantages of high economic efficiency and environmental friendliness. Spiral concentrator and hydraulic classifier used in combination to produce wet glass sand, the process to meet the particle size and mineral / chemical specifications. Interestingly, the size specification of the grit is often consistent with the optimum particle size for the operation of the spiral concentrator. This article describes the process and process specifications for producing glass sands representative of commercial operations around the world.
