“京债”一词,始见于唐代,其后历代相沿,明清文献尤为多见,其含义主要指在京候选官员所借债务。清人焦廷琥《读书小记》云:“今之候选于京者,窘乏则必借贷,期以得官乃还,谓之京债。”有些学者在论述京债时,扩大了其包容范围:一是把无论发生在何地的官吏债都视为京债,其例如:“曲阜孔生弘煦推择为令,从公(鲁府辅国将军朱观炊)贷二百金。命下而弘煦死,子侄以田及器物来偿。公愀然曰:‘所为贷而公者义也,而公不沾斗食以死,而吾收若
