在放射生物和放射肿瘤领域,细胞凋亡被认为是重要的放射敏感指标之一,通过测定自发细胞凋亡或放射诱导的细胞凋亡,以评价肿瘤对放射的敏感性,有助于选择合适的放疗方案。有研究表明p53参与调节细胞凋亡,尤其是放射诱导的细胞凋亡。过去认为p21/WAF-1/CIP-1(简称p21)无调节细胞凋亡的作用,但最近有文献报道p21表达时细胞凋亡受抑制。为评价p21的作用,对1995~1996年间日本国立放射学研究院医院采用单纯放射治疗的21例浸润性宫颈癌患者放疗期间p21与细胞凋亡的关系进行研究。
In the field of radiobiology and radiation tumors, apoptosis is considered as one of the most important radiosensitization targets. By measuring spontaneous apoptosis or radiation-induced apoptosis to evaluate tumor sensitivity to radiation, it is helpful to choose appropriate Radiotherapy program. Studies have shown that p53 is involved in the regulation of apoptosis, especially radiation-induced apoptosis. In the past, it was thought that p21 / WAF-1 / CIP-1 (p21 for short) had no effect on the regulation of apoptosis, but recently it has been reported in the literature that p21 expression is inhibited by apoptosis. To evaluate the role of p21, we investigated the relationship between p21 and apoptosis during radiotherapy in 21 invasive cervical cancer patients treated with radiotherapy alone in the National Institute of Radiology Hospital of Japan from 1995 to 1996.
