It is with a new operating concept and audience awareness, to promote the selection of moderators become more open and socialized, and more talent-oriented people in all walks of life are more drastic, but also for the TV into the “era of the audience,” a useful exploration . However, whether the competition has reached the expected goal, whether the personality of the host has been publicized, the way of assessing whether the science is scientifically selected, and whether the experts and audiences have been chosen are the most popular. With all sorts of thinking, Professor Lu Xichu, a senior scholar of the Beijing Broadcasting Institute who specializes in this journal, and his graduate students wrote a series of articles (divided into three issues), which took a look at the competition from different perspectives. The first part focuses on a comprehensive exposition of the competition, and examines whether the mode of examination and selection is scientific or not. The second part focuses on the influence of the factors such as knowledge and accomplishment, life experiences and personal charisma on the host’s program and the influence of the new century on the host Requirements; The third part focuses on horizontal and vertical analysis and comparison of previous host competitions, gain enlightenment from them, in order to provide reference for future host selection and examination.
