新型城镇化将为我国零售业态的发展带来新的机遇。本文以2011-2013年27个城市的相关数据为依据,运用层级回归法(MRA)就新型城镇化进程对零售业态发展的调节效应进行实证研究。实证研究结果表明,对低城镇化率城市而言,新型城镇化进程对零售业态发展并无直接和间接影响;而对高城镇化率城市而言,新型城镇化进程不仅直接影响零售业态发展,而且可以通过作用于城镇化率、人口规模和城镇居民消费的调节效应对零售业态升级形成间接贡献。
The new urbanization will bring new opportunities for the development of China’s retail formats. Based on the data of 27 cities in 2011-2013, this paper conducts an empirical study on the regulatory effect of the new urbanization process on the development of retail formats by using hierarchical regression (MRA). The empirical results show that the process of new urbanization has no direct and indirect impact on the development of retail formats for cities with low urbanization rates. For cities with high urbanization rates, the new urbanization process not only directly affects the development of retail formats, But also indirectly contribute to the upgrade of retail formats through the regulatory effect on the urbanization rate, population size and urban residents’ consumption.
