辽烟14号系辽宁省丹东市农科所1980年用辽烟12号早熟系作母本,用 Coker86作父本进行杂交,经选择、试验,于1988年育成。1989年经过辽宁省作物品种委员会审定,定名为辽烟14号。辽烟14号田间生长整齐,遗传性稳定。植株筒形,株高140厘米,着生叶数22～26片,可采收叶数18～22片。腰叶长60厘米,宽32厘米,叶片椭圆形,叶尖渐尖,叶面略皱,叶色浓绿,主脉中等,烟叶耐熟,易烘烤,落黄和变黄均比 G—28慢,烤后单叶重5克左右,主筋率31%。花序略松散,移栽至中心花开放62天,大田生育期110天。经烟草花叶病毒
