美国西雅图地区在1971～1976年间,经细菌培养证实的住院白喉患者有317例。其中263例为皮肤白喉,44例为呼吸道白喉,10例为健康带菌者。呼吸道白喉病人中,男性占73.8％,平均40.4岁。仅24例能问清白喉预防接种史。10例从未接种过;14例曾经接种,但仅4例在最近10年内接受过加强注射,临床经过全属轻症,无并发症。
There were 317 hospitalized patients with diphtheria confirmed by bacterial culture between 1971 and 1976 in the Seattle area of the United States. Among them, 263 cases were skin diphtheria, 44 cases were respiratory diphtheria and 10 cases were healthy carriers. Respiratory diphtheria patients, men accounted for 73.8%, an average of 40.4 years old. Only 24 cases could ask the history of diphtheria vaccination. 10 had never been vaccinated; 14 had been vaccinated, but only 4 received intensive injection in the last 10 years, all through the clinical mild, no complications.
