随着Internet的应用日益广泛，Internet已成为资源共享越来越普遍而和重要的途径。为了提高本地存取速度，在地理上分布客户／服务器模式是非常必要的，这就需要把文件经Internet从一个节点复制到其它节点。该文叙述了在Internet上建立目录自动复制的系统模型和技术实现，它能自动地将复制目录下发生变化的文件经Internet复制到其它节点。最后介绍一个在Internet上的目录复制服务的具体实例。
With the increasing use of the Internet, the Internet has become an increasingly common and important way for resource sharing.
