砧木对苹果的生长、发育、产量、品质、寿命、栽培方式等都有很大的影响,其关键问题在于亲和力,它是嫁接成功的基本因素。十多年来,在发掘、利用野生砧木种质资源工作中,笔者就蔷薇科的5属8种植物作为苹果砧木,对其亲和力分别作了观察:
