In the middle of the night of April 16, 1972, Comrade Ceng Shan suffered a heart attack that was tortured by the “Cultural Revolution” and died at the age of 72 years old. On April 20, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council held a memorial service for Comrade Ceng Shan.
