稻眼蝶(Mycalesis gotama),又名蛇眼蝶,竹眼蝶、猫头虫。属鳞翅目,眼蝶科。在我省山丘区近年发生为危害普遍较重。幼虫取食叶片,严重影响竹林、甘蔗、水稻等禾本科作物的生长发育。为了摸清该虫的发生危害规律,找出有效的防治途径,我们于1980年开始对此虫进行了室内笼养观察,室外定点调查研究。1962年后,又对平江县山丘区稻眼蝶为害情况进行了全面的观察记载,现将我们观察研究的结果整理如下: 一、为害情况稻眼蝶主要为害水稻,其次为害甘蔗、竹等禾本科作物。每年以6、7月份为害较重,特别是山丘区,靠近菜园竹林的稻田。为害水稻时使叶片成缺刻,严重时可把叶片吃光,仅留禾蔸部,似“刷把状”但不结苞。被害后一般损失20—30%,严重的50%左右,甚至失收。
