7.鼗鼓(见图九)。史书亦称鼗牢者。这种鼓是由两个或三个串于一柄之上而组成,各鼓相交叠置,每个小鼓的两边系有球状之物,用以摇而击之,今称为货郎鼓者即是。从壁画中所看到的,亦有一柄一鼓、一柄两鼓或一柄三鼓的情况,多为一柄两鼓。鼓形也不一样,有大有小,一般均为下面一鼓较大,上面的较小。图中所画鼗鼓为一柄二鼓,可以看出下面一鼓的鼓框细长,中间粗两头细,很象今之腰鼓;上面的较小,框为直筒。《旧唐书·音乐志》云:“小鼓有柄曰鞞,摇之以和鼓,大曰鞉。”《乐书》云:“鞉牢,龟兹部乐也,形如路鼗,而一柄叠三枚焉。古人尝谓左手摇鞉牢,右手击鸡娄鼓是也。”虽然龟兹乐中也用
