《左传》叙事依时、依经,而于具体事件之叙述,具有一以贯之的结构方式。《左传》对卫献公出奔与复归之事的记录,上起成公七年,下至襄公二十九年,以卫献公、孙林父、子鲜等人物为中心,可见三条叙事线索。按照起因、经过、结局和尾声的顺序梳理此事,则可见“是夫不唯卫国之败”与过程、“孙子必亡”与过程、“卫公必入”与过程、“九世之卿族,一举而灭之”与过程等,四组应验结构。以此应验结构对照甲骨卜辞,我们看到的是应验结构在先民记事中的迁延,以及《左传》的主观构事意愿。从依时叙事出发,考察应验结构在《左传》中的呈现状态,重天命而不废人事,则是《左传》叙事应验结构的基本特点。
