水稻是福建省的主要粮食作物.一九八一年稻田面积1434万亩,总产136.2亿斤,分别占粮食作物的77%和84%.中低产区的稻田面积占全省的四分之三,占本区粮食面积的90%以上.又是本省的商品粮基地,增产潜力很大.发展中低产区稻作生产,是早日做到福建省粮食自给,实现本世纪末工农业总产值翻二番的战略性措施.为此,我们于一九八二年考察了中低产区14个县的稻作生产,整理分析了历年生产统计资料,并与省农业厅粮油处一起,组织4个地区农科所和12个县农科所,进行水稻栽培技术协作试验,以期明确中低产区稻作发展战略和近期增产策略.本文是调查考察方面的总结.
