一、引言随着社会信息量的激增,信息处理系统得到了急速的发展,其主要目标是缩短高速计算系统的计算时间。例如,在从人造卫星送回来的图象信息处理、核反应堆的等离子模拟、全球气象分析以及飞机设计中的空气动力学计算领域中,计算量都非常大,目前采用Si IC的最高速的大型计算机的运算速度是10~30MIPS(MIPS——每秒100万条指令),巨型计算机是100MFLOPS(MFLOPS——每秒100万次浮点运算)。如果以这样的计算速度计算上述应用中的问题,花费时间就相当长,有时甚至用几天到几十天。因此,需要开发处理能力比现在大千倍的(10BFLOPS,BFLOPS——每秒10亿次浮点运算)特高速计算机。
