1980年10月29日至11月2日由中国建筑科学研究院地基所主持在京召开了膨胀土地基问题座谈会。参加会议的有来自全国勘察、设计、科研以及人民解放军勘察设计所及修建部门19个单位的代表38人。膨胀土在我国分布很广,目前已在16个省市发现有膨胀土。由于它遇水膨胀,失水收缩,对建筑物危害很大,据不完全统计,已有数百万平方米建筑遭到不同程度的破坏,因此它是建筑业长期没有解决的一大问
From October 29 to November 2, 1980, a colloquium on the issue of expansive soils was held in Beijing under the auspices of the Chinese Academy of Building Research. Attending the meeting were 38 delegates from 19 units of the National Survey, Design, Scientific Research, People’s Liberation Army Survey and Design Institute and Construction Department. Expansive soils are widely distributed in China. Expansive soils have been found in 16 provinces and cities. Because it swells in water and shrinks water, it is harmful to buildings. According to incomplete statistics, millions of square meters of buildings have been damaged to varying degrees, so it is a long-term problem that the construction industry has not solved.
