随着国内数据中心的发展,数据中心的功率密度越来越高。现在新建数据中心的机柜功率一般可达到4KVA甚至更高。能源成本占数据中心运营成本的比例越来越高,只有低于一半的电力用于IT负荷,而其余的电力则用于供电和散热系统等基础设施,国内数据中心比较常见的空调方式主要为传统空调制冷系统。本文引入国际上先进的“热轮”系统,通过“热轮”系统与传统机械制冷装置的能耗比较,阐释热轮系统在打造绿色节能数据中心上的优势和潜力。
With the development of domestic data centers, the power density of data centers is getting higher and higher. Cabinet power in new data centers is now typically up to 4KVA or higher. Energy costs account for an ever-increasing percentage of data center operating costs, with less than half of the total electricity used for IT loads and the rest being used for infrastructure such as power and cooling systems. The more common types of air conditioning in domestic data centers are Traditional air conditioning and refrigeration system. In this paper, the international advanced “hot wheel” system is introduced to illustrate the advantages and potential of the hot wheel system in building a green and energy-saving data center by comparing the energy consumption of the “hot wheel” system and the traditional mechanical refrigeration system.
