丹江口水利枢纽管理局电石厂1970年建厂时,只有7名职工和30多名职工家属,仅是为解决枢纽工程施工所需要而生产。经过几十年的调整提高,现已拥有职工500多人,年产电石1.5万吨,产品畅销江苏、广东、福建等8省5市。成为湖北省第二大电石厂。 特别是改革开放以来,该厂加大企业改革力度,提倡技术进步,在质量和技术上下功夫,走出了一条自我发展、自我加压的企业振兴之路。
