英语专业存在流失率高、出勤率低、考试通过率低、学习效果不明显的现象,而且也直接导致了目前英语专业的逐渐萎缩。究其原因,并非英语专业课程难以掌握,也并非英语专业教师没有尽心教研,只是因为英语专业课程有较强的连续性,学生若不能随时跟进教师的步伐,则很难坚持学习并取得良好的学习效果。那些在学习初期由于工学矛盾不能参加面授的学生会因为无法连续学习而感到学习吃力,从而成为流失生源。因此,建立科学合理的过程学习模式对于拯救学员、使英语专业教学向着良好方向发展有着非常重要的作用,同时也为教师进行教改提供了新思路。
