There are mixed stories about the introduction of foreign used equipment. Some people say that this is spent money to buy and wreck and throwing money into the fire. Some people say that this is buying a golden doll with a dilapidated piece of money. Observing the different perspectives of the problem, the conclusion is also different. We believe that the criteria for judgment should be the benefits generated after the introduction of used equipment, input-output ratio, and investment recovery period. Shougang Second Wire Factory introduced Belgium’s second-hand high-speed wire rod mill in 1986. It was put into operation from February 1987 to the end of 1991. In the five years, it produced 1.833 million tons of wire rods, a net increase in profits.
