兖州矿务局位于山东西南部,地跨兖州、济宁、曲阜、邹县等5个县市,包括兖州、济宁东部2个煤田,煤炭储量丰富,煤质好,易开采,交通方便,是一个发展中的以煤为主,煤、电、运、煤化工、建材等多种经济并存的现代化大型煤炭联合企业.兖州矿区从1966年正式开发,从1976年建局以来,生产建设规模不断扩大.目前,全局有南屯、北宿、兴隆庄、鲍店、唐村、杨村6对生产矿井,设计能力885万t.有兴隆庄和南屯矿选煤厂,年入选能力480万t.年产400万t的东滩矿井即将投产,济宁东区设计能力1200万t,其中济宁二号、三号两对矿井,设计能力900万t,正积极筹建开工,还有7个基建施工处可以配套建设千万吨矿区.
