中国力学学会岩土力学专业委员会于１９９９年１０月１９～２０日在南京举办了一次岩土力学新计算方法研讨班。这次研讨班由专委会副主任委员沈珠江院士承办，得到了河海大学岩土工程所、南京水利科学研究院土工所、中国科学院武汉岩土力学研究所、江苏省力学学会的大力支持。
The Chinese Society for the Mechanics of Geotechnical Engineering organized a seminar on geotechnical mechanics for new methods in Nanjing from October 19 to October 20, 1999. The seminar was hosted by Academician Shen Zhujiang, deputy chairman of the special committee, and was supported by Geotechnical Engineering Institute of Hehai University, Geotechnical Institute of Nanjing Hydraulic Research Institute, Institute of Rock and Soil Mechanics of Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Jiangsu Society of Mechanics. .
