China International Defence Electronics Exhibition (CIDEX) is the only defence electronics show sponsored by Chinese military authorities and a global platform for trade dedicated to this field. Based upon local market, CIDEX is a fast track to explore the industry trends in the other parts of the world, especially in Asia. The 9th China International Defence Electronics Exhibition took place at China International Exhibition Center(CIEC-The Old Center) from 8 to 10 May, 2014, and once again brought together major industry players to showcase the latest technological innovations. Authorities’ supports, high-end forums and professional live demonstrations featured CIDEX 2014 a must-attend show.

As a comprehensive platform for defence electronics, eight New Zones were set up in CIDEX 2014, covering a wide range of industrial products: Military Electronic Components, Command and Control, Test and Measurement, Electronic Warfare, Electronics Manufacture and Service, Military Application of Internet of Things. During the show, high-end forums and panel discussions were also held by the organizer to keep everyone updated with the latest industrial trends.
For the first time in the CIDEX history, the 2014 exhibition was co-organized by China Electronics Technology Group Corporation and China Electronics Corporation. An estimated 400 exhibitors from Britain, the United States, Swiss, Austria, Finland, Germany, Norway, Korea, Belgium, Australia, Japan, Hong Kong and Taiwan came with innovative products, covering electronics, weapons, aerospace and aviation. As a regular highlight of exhibition, on 8th May, CIDEX 2014 received about 90 foreign military attaches and ambassadors from 60 countries in China, who were treated with a guided tour by the organizers.
This year, as a perfect illustration of military and civil technology and products, the first session of Beijing Emergency Expo was hosted simultaneously along the CIDEX fair, and received enormous support from relative governmental institutions. In addition, an extensive industrial forums and seminars, public demos, competitions and promotion sessions also added to the professionalism and diversity of CIDEX.
